Last week I made a presentation at the book club event of Netsquared Tokyo about "The Networked Nonprofit: Connecting with Social Media to Drive Change
", the great book about social media use of nonprofits.

What made me excited was that some leaders of Japanese NPOs came to the book club event. There were about twenty people, all of them were eager to know about the book.
We discussed how Japanese nonprofits could make the best use of social media, what were the difficulties for Japanese nonprofits to become the networked nonprofits, and how Japanese nonprofits should apply the methodologies like marketing and fundraising into their activities.
I am also one of the nonprofit marketing consultants, so the discussion with the nonprofit leaders in frontline was so exciting.
The presentation I made was below.
I found in the book how nonprofits in the United States were struggling in the leadership crisis and how they were overcoming the crisis through making the best use of social media.
I really think that the book is very important for Japanese nonprofits and their marketing/fundraising partners.
I appreciate Beth Kanter and Allison Fine for writing this great book. I also thank the members of Netsquared Tokyo for their support.
Thank you so much!!
